Stacey J. Kruger, M.D.

Stacey J. Kruger, MD, earned her medical
degree at S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center at Brooklyn and
completed her residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at The
Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She later completed
her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the Medical
University of South Carolinaâs Storm Eye Institute in Charleston,
South Carolina. Dr. Krugerâs area of special interest is in
pediatric cataract surgery and intraocular lenses. Since moving to
Miami in 2002, she has become a principal investigator in the
Infant Aphakia Treatment Study. This is a presti- |

gious National Institute of Health and
National Eye Institute sponsored multi-center clinical trial,
which will help evaluate the use of intraocular lenses (artificial
lens implants) in patients less than six months of age born with
cataracts. |
Dr. Kruger is also actively involved in
providing care for indigent patients in Guatemala and teaching
residents of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of
Miami, where she is currently a Voluntary Associate Professor. Dr.
Kruger is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a
Fellow member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Full
Member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and

Charlotte Tibi,

Charlotte Tibi
graduated from Saint Antoine Medical School in Paris, France as a
Certified Orthoptist. Following her graduation, she left France to
pursue her American certification at the University of Michigan
where she studied for two additional years at the Kellogg Eye
Center. After completing her required coursework, Ms. Tibi passed
her American board certification examination and in 2003 she
relocated to Miami, where she has been working with Dr. Kruger and
Dr. Howard ever since. |
