The Practice
Stacey J. Kruger, M.D. &
Associates, P.A. offers a full range of ophthalmic and contact lens
services for children and young adults to the age of 21 years as well
as adult strabismus (misalignment of the eyes) problems. The services
covered in the office include evaluation for vision problems
(refractive errors), as well as medical and surgical problems of
infantile and childhood strabismus, amblyopia (“lazy eye”), ptosis
(droopiness of the lids), lacrimal or tearing problems, infantile and
developmental cataracts and intraocular lens implantation, congenital
malformations of the lids and eyes, infantile and childhood glaucoma,
ocular injuries, ocular tumors, and other neuro-ophthalmic causes of
visual loss. In addition, consultations are offered for infants with
retinopathy of prematurity, multiple congenital defects, severe facial
injuries, and in support of infants and children being evaluated for
metabolic and neurologic problems. Minor surgical procedures are performed in our offices depending on
the age and cooperation of the child. Surgery on small children and
major surgical procedures are performed in one of several hospitals in
the area, including Miami Children’s Hospital, The Bascom Palmer Eye
Institute and Baptist Hospital.
In addition to our highly skilled and expertly qualified physicians,
Stacey J. Kruger, M.D. and
Cleve W. Howard, M.D., the services in our
practice include the expertise of Charlotte Tibi, C.O. our orthoptist,
who is a specialist in the study of ocular motility and visual sensory
problems. She is actively involved in following our patients with
these conditions and monitoring their progress.
